San Antonio, Texas is a wonderful place to vacation. There is a multitude of opportunities for different adventures and experiences. Some of the more popular attractions are the River Walk. The Alamo is part of the San Antonio Missions, along with Mission Concepcion and Mission San Jose. The Alamo is considered to be one of the most important historical sites in the country. El Mercado, also known as Market Square covers three blocks and has restaurants and shops galore. This Mexican market is the largest in the United States and sells everything from pottery to sombreros.

If you have time, take a day trip to new Braunfels. Along the way, you can stop and visit Natural Bridge Caverns. These are some incredible caves and are Texas’ largest commercial caves. When you finish touring the caverns, head to New Braunfels. This is a lovely historic town and home to one of the most popular music venues in the state, Gruene Hall. If you’re lucky, you might see a country music star on stage.

If you’re visiting in April, don’t miss Fiesta. This celebration covers ten days and has many events including parades and concerts.
